EMB Secretariat is looking for a new science officer
The European Marine Board (EMB) invites applications for the position of Science Officer at the EMB secretariat in Ostend, Belgium.
Applications can be sent in electronic format to the EMB Executive Director, Prof Sheila JJ Heymans (sheymans@marineboard.eu), by 16 November 2018 (17.00 CET), including "EMB SO18" in the subject line of the email. The job interviews will be organised on Monday 10 December in Ostend, Belgium.
EMB welcomes GEOMAR (Germany) and CETMAR (Spain) as new EMB members
On Wednesday 24 October 2018, the EMB Board meeting approved the membership applications of GEOMAR (Germany) and CETMAR (Spain) members at the EMB Autumn Plenary meeting in Trieste, Italy.

On 4-5 June, the European H2020 project AtlantOS held a workshop to develop a European strategy for the future Atlantic Ocean Observing System in Brussels, hosted by EuroGOOS.
This was co-organized by EMB together with EuroGOOS, IOC and GEOMAR with the aim to deliver a European contribution to the wider Blueprint for the Atlantic Ocean Observing System.
