Gender and Diversity Plan
To comply with the eligibility requirements of the European Commission's Horizon Europe Funding Programme, in Autumn 2021 EMB published its Gender and Diversity Plan. This is a living document, to be reviewed and updated as appropriate.

Other Initiatives
In addition, EMB engages in other initiatives to support progress towards gender and diversity equality such as:
- Hosting the May 2023 edition of the ECOP Wednesdays edition on the Oceanicas Inititative
- Hosting the EMB Spring Plenary 2023 Open Session on the topic
- Helping to develop the Respect at Sea training video for research vessels
- Sitting on the EuroSea Project Gender and Diversity Board
