Per Wilhelm Nieuwejaar is currently Project Director at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Norway. He was previously the IMR Research Vessels Department Director from 2000 - 2021. He is a member of the ongoing EU-project “Eurofleets +” and participated in the development of EMB Position Paper 10 “European Ocean Research Fleets – towards a Common Strategy and Enhanced Use” and Position Paper 25 “Next generation European Research Vessels: Current Status and Foreseeable Evolution”.
