The EMB Board establishes Working Groups (WGs) on emerging topics or topics with strategic importance for marine science, to investigate and bring visibility to relevant issues. EMB WGs are composed of leading experts nominated by EMB Members, and generally associated with EMB Member organisations, and the outcome is a publication (Position Paper, Future Science Brief or Policy Brief). An overview of EMB's procedures for selecting a new topic and establishing the WG can be found here.
