The European Marine Board Communications Panel met at the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen, Norway, on 22-23 April 2013. Four new members joined this meeting for the first time either as new members or due to staff change (DTU Aqua, RINS, CIIMAR and Ifremer). Members discussed several outreach activities, including the communication strategies of the new Marine Board position paper on Marine Protected Areas, with Esben Olsen, chair of the Marine Board working group on MPAs, attending the panel's meeting.
