Navigating the Future VI Launch

On Wednesday 23 October 2024, EMB will launch the latest edition of its flagship marine science policy foresight series, Navigating the Future VI.

EMB's flagship Navigating the Future series provides critical periodic foresight and recommendations on emerging marine science topics and needs, as well as associated societal challenges and opportunities.

In October 2022, EMB began working on Navigating the Future VI. NFVI will aim to take a holistic perspective to highlight the science needed to understand the links between the Ocean and the global Earth system, society, and public policy, so that knowledge about the Ocean can take a central role in planning for a sustainable future. In short, it aims to highlight the Ocean’s place in the world. You can find out more about this activity here.

NFVI will be launched in a dedicated hybrid event:

  • Date: 23 October 2024, 15:00-18:00 CEST
  • Venue: Talk C.E.C , Brussels, Belgium and online

The event will include presentations and discussion on the document, with a networking reception and access to the Mers en Océans exhibition provided for in-person attendees (exhibition only accessible via stairs).

A full agenda will be available soon.
