EMB ECOPs submission to the Let's Be Nice to the Ocean initiative

The EMB Ambassadors and members of the EMB ECOP Network have teamed up with other early career and youth initiatives to make a submission to the Let's Be Nice to the Ocean initiative. The submission highlights the importance of involving youth and early careers in finding solutions for our Ocean.

Let’s Be Nice to the Ocean is an initiative coordinated by The Varda Group in cooperation with the Ocean & Climate Platform and in partnership with TBA21-Academy, Dona Bertarelli Philanthropy, the Tara Ocean Foundation, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, MedPAN and Ocean Born Foundation

In the build-up to the UN Ocean Conference 2025, taking place in Nice, France, this initiative is a participatory process to ensure that all Ocean voices are heard and can provide input. The prepatory conference Immersed in Change took place last week, and the EMB Ambassadors and ECOP Network took the opportunity to publish their submission.

The submission was created together with UN Ocean Decade Early Career Ocean Professionals, OYSTER at EuroMarine Network, Youth4Ocean Forum, and the Global Youth Biodiversity Network. It talks about the importance of involving youth and early careers in finding solutions for our Ocean, buidling on the messages which arose from the first EMB ECOP Network Forum.
