Today 50 participants are attending an event in the European Parliament co-organized by EMB and the SEARICA parliamentary intergroup. The event, called “Young Talent and the Blue Economy” is a follow-on from the EMB publication on “Training the 21st Century Marine Graduate” which was launched in Spring 2018. The aim of the event is to bring together stakeholders from academic, research funding and industry backgrounds, as well as current marine students to discuss the needs for a new graduate training system, and the steps towards its implementation.
