On 29 and 30 January 2019, the SOPHIE Project partners met in Ostend to discuss the significant progress that has been achieved to date. The project is now almost at the half-way point, and there are many exciting developments coming soon including understanding public perceptions and stakeholder priorities for oceans and human health, examples of innovative solutions, and 2 fun citizen science projects. Everyone with an interest in oceans and human health (OHH) is invited to join the community discussions on LinkedIn.
Following on from the partner meeting, the SOPHIE Expert Group met for a 2-day workshop from 31 Janaury - 1 February 2019. The aim of the workshop was to provide input and direction to the Strategic Research Agenda for Oceans and Human Health research in Europe that will be published near the end of the project, in March 2020.
